We ask for as little as we can, we use it only for what you asked us to do, and we delete it when you say so. This page sets out the detail required by the GDPR.
Who is responsible
[Company name], [street and number], [postcode] Vienna, Austria, is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@flatwatch.app.
The short version
The cost check runs in your browser. Your postcode, flat size and monthly costs are not sent anywhere while you answer. Nothing reaches us until you press a button that says it will.
We use no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party fonts. Nothing about you is tracked across other sites.
What we collect, and why
Your email address, postcode and result, when you ask for your result by email. We use it to send you that result and to tell you when we can compare buildings in your area. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Your name and the documents you send us, such as your annual statement, when you ask us to review them. We use them to prepare your review and to correspond with your Hausverwaltung if you ask us to. The legal basis is the performance of a contract with you, or steps taken at your request before entering one (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Messages you send us, so that we can answer them.
Technical records kept by our hosting provider, such as your IP address and the time of your visit, to keep the site running and secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Documents that mention other people
An annual statement usually contains information about other owners, contractors and staff. We use it only to prepare your review, we do not publish it, and we do not sell it or pass it to anyone outside the processors named below.
Please send us only documents you are entitled to share. If you are unsure, ask us first.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of service providers, each under a data processing agreement: [form and email provider], [hosting provider], [any payment provider]. Where a provider processes data outside the EU or EEA, that transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Your email address: until you ask us to remove it, or [12] months after our last contact, whichever comes first.
Documents you send us: for [24] months after your review, so that we can answer questions about it, and then deleted. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we do.
Technical records: [30] days.
Where the law requires us to keep business records — for example under § 132 BAO, which requires accounting records to be kept for seven years — we keep those records for as long as required and no longer.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, for corrections, for deletion, for restriction of processing, for your data in a portable form, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, which does not affect what we did before.
Write to support@flatwatch.app and we will answer within one month.
You can also complain to the Austrian data protection authority: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
